Second National Humorous Short Story Competition
On 24 November 2015 at 19:30, an awards ceremony for the winners of the Second National Humorous Short Story Competition „Ако бях шеф…“, organized by Association SENATOR, the Union of Bulgarian Writers, NCH „Д-р Петър Берон 1926 г.“ and President's Club Bulgaria, was held at Grand Hotel Sofia. To host the ceremony, master of the short form Elka Stoyanova travelled specially from Burgas. By the deadline for submissions on 1 November 2015, 94 short stories had been received from both within the country and from abroad. Of these, 84 were admitted to the competition. A jury chaired by Deyan Enev and comprising members Nadezhda Zaharieva and Dimitar Hristov selected 34 titles to be included in the anthology „Ако бях шеф…“, which was to be presented at the ceremony. A total of 6 awards were presented: First Prize – Mihail Mishev – Veshim for the short story „Ехолалия“. The award was presented by Mr. Aleksandar Angelov, owner of the company "Александър Електрик". Second Prize – Niki Komedvenska for the short story „Малко благодарност за шефа“. The award was presented by Mr. Vadim Sokolov, managing partner of "Трансглоуб Интернешънъл". Third Prize – Roman Dimitrov for the short story „Болки“. The award was presented by Mrs. Dobrina Dimitrova of the company "Мишел Интернационал". The encouragement awards were presented by Mr. Aleksandar Popov and Mr. Mladen Velkov of "БМС Моторс": Irena Georgieva for the short story „Шефът ме обича“ Ivan Alovatski for the short story „Златните гущери“ Denka Ilieva for the short story „Райски кът“
