The Ambassador of the State of Palestine at President's Club
On 17 October, the guest of President's Club Bulgaria was the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the State of Palestine, H.E. Dr. Ahmed Al Madbouh, accompanied by two of his counsellors and the prominent Arabist Maya Tsenova.
His Excellency chose an interesting approach to introduce the guests to his country — he presented it through culture and, in particular, through its literary tradition. The translator Maya Tsenova read poems by the renowned Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish.
The ambassador also gave a brief overview of the history of the State of Palestine and the contemporary development of its relations with the rest of the world.
