Aid After the Flood in the Village of Karavelovo

Assistance after flooding in St. Petersburg

On September 6, the day on which we commemorate one of the most important events in the country's history — the Unification of the Principality of Bulgaria with Eastern Rumelia — President's Club organized a volunteer initiative in the village of Karavelovo, which was affected by the severe flood of September 2. More than 50 members and friends of the Club arrived in the village and worked throughout the day removing mud and silt that remained in the homes and yards of Karavelovo residents after the water receded. The participants in the initiative donated 1,000 liters of water, buckets, shovels, wheelbarrows, and rubber boots. Members of the Children's Section of President's Club also took part.
