Maxim Behar: Ethical Business Is Conducted Transparently

Maxim BEHAR: Ethical business is done transparently
It is important for all of us to have standards in business relationships, but our market has not yet matured to that point. In Bulgaria, there is still no genuine competition.

This view was expressed by communications business guru Maxim Behar during his meeting with members of President's Club on 17 November 2009. As one of the founders of modern public relations in our country, the renowned PR specialist shared his experience of doing business in the country and offered a forecast for the development of our economy amid the global economic crisis and in the period that followed. During the discussion, Maxim Behar expressed the view that Bulgarian business would face certain difficulties for another four to five years, and that in order to survive it would need to be creative, motivated, and above all honest in its relationship with the market and competition. He described today's business leaders as far better than those of ten or fifteen years ago—not only because they have more experience, but also because they are much more flexible in their actions.
Maxim Behar is the latest successful businessman to visit the regular Tuesday evening meetings of President's Club. As expected, his presence aroused interest among all participants. They showered him with questions regarding his vision for effective management practices and expressed a wish to hear his expert opinion on the state of business ethics in Bulgaria. The prominent communicator defined ethical business as that which does not conceal its activities from society and realizes its profits transparently. He shared impressions from his meetings with many of the world's leaders.
